Quality

Certifications

We certify that all product supplied by All-Tech Specialty Fasteners is manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the customer purchase order and all applicable drawings, standards and/or specifications, at the prescribed revision levels. If required, chemical and physical test reports will be supplied and items that require lot traceability are properly maintained.

RoHS Compliance

The RoHS Directive stands for “the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment”. This directive bans the placing on the European market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than the agreed upon levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

We are now stocking and supplying necessary items to comply to this directive and will provide certification of conformance with any order requesting RoHS compliance.

RoHS 2 Declaration

All-Tech Specialty Fasteners, LLC supports the reduction and eventual elimination of the use of all substances restricted under the EU’s RoHS and RoHS 2 (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directives for the following banned substances:

  • Lead (Pb Ref Exemption #6)

  • Pentabrom-Diphenylether ( C12H5Br50 )
  • Decabrominated Diphenylether (DecaBDE )
  • Octabrom-Diphenylether ( C12H2Br80 )

DFARS

DFARS stands for Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. It requires that the material used in the manufacture of fasteners in the United States be melted and produced in the United States or a qualifying country. It is only necessary if requested by the customer. We will supply DFARS compliant product if required, complete with all testing and material certifications as ordered.

REACH Compliance

All-Tech Specialty Fasteners, LLC is a distributor of fasteners and electronic hardware. We are therefore considered a “downstream user” as far as REACH documentation is concerned. We are therefore not obligated to register with the European Agency for Chemicals “ECHA”. The products that we supply are non-chemical products and under normal and reasonable use, they will not release harmful substances. Our products meet REACH requirements for chemicals designated by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) appended on the following pages. We will continue to monitor the REACH regulation and advise of any changes.

Proposition 65

Proposition 65 is a California law that has been in effect since 1986 to promote clean drinking water and to require businesses to provide a clear and reasonable warning before exposing individuals to consumer products containing chemicals known to the state to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. An official list of these substances is published and periodically updated, and can be accessed here. at http://www.oehha.ca.gov/prop65/prop65_list/files/p6509272013.pdf.

All-Tech is committed to providing quality products to all of its customers. Some products supplied by All-Tech may contain chemicals, identified by the state of California as a cause of cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Proposition 65 does not require warning where the exposure poses no significant risk of cancer or no observable effect as set forth in law and regulations.

Exposure levels are generally expressed as a daily exposure level and not as a concentration or weight % present in a product. Exposure levels are influenced by many factors, including the intended use or application for the product. While the state of California has identified so‐called “safe harbor” exposure levels for some listed chemicals, there is little regulatory guidance to determine whether or when the use of a product results in exposure below those levels and thus poses no significant risk to the average user. In some cases, testing and a risk assessment may be required to establish acceptable exposure levels for certain applications and uses. Consumer products, which can be demonstrated to have exposures less than the safe harbor level for specific chemicals, may not require labeling. Due to the presence of Prop 65 listed chemicals in certain All-Tech products, you may have concerns. If this is the case, you may wish to include a product label on products that may be delivered within California to include the following: “Warning: this product contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.”

If your company intends to use All-Tech products as a component in a product(s) sold or delivered to consumers in California, All-Tech recommends that you take steps to determine whether the warning requirements of California’s Prop 65 apply. Your company is solely responsible for determining whether your finished consumer product needs to be labeled in compliance with Prop 65.

Conflict Minerals Compliance

All-Tech Specialty Fasteners is cognizant of human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo and surrounding countries. In July 2010 the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act was passed by the United States Congress and requires publicly traded companies to disclose the use of these “conflict minerals” in the manufacture or outsource of their product and if they are necessary to the “functionality or production” of those products. Those minerals are: Gold, Tantalum, Tin and Tungsten.

All-Tech is dedicated to the moral effort to eradicate human rights and bring freedom, justice and peace to the DRC and surrounding countries. To the best of our knowledge we do not purchase products that contain said conflict minerals and are committed to engaging our customers and vendors to ensure the required traceability of all commodities we sell are compliant.
